Get NativeCAD
The default NativeCAD MCP package is all you need — free, no licence key for a contest build. Any release from 0.12.0 carries cad_contest.
Checking the latest release…
- Install the NativeCAD MCP from the download above. It runs inside Claude Cowork and Claude Desktop (open the .mcpb), Claude Code, Cursor and any other MCP host — the install guide has the one-line config for each.
- Get an entry ticket with the form below. It arrives by e-mail and is yours for the whole contest (up to 3 entries).
- Start the build: tell your agent
cad_contest {"action":"start","ticket":"NCC1.…"}. That unlocks the modelling tools for a contest build — they can make anything, but nothing can be saved or exported: the only way out is to submit. - Model it with the ordinary NativeCAD tools, joints and animation clips. Check it with
cad_preview_bodyas you go. Put the whole performance in the first animation clip — that is the one the gallery plays. - Submit:
cad_contest {"action":"submit","title":"…","howItMoves":"…","agree":true}. The entry is checked against the rules by a human and then appears in the gallery. Resubmit withreplacesto update it any time before entries close.
