# NativeCAD 0.18.0 "Brico" — product configurator, interfaces, drawing-to-STEP in the plugin, cleaner exports

**168 tools: the 166 from 0.17.2, plus `cad_configurator` and `cad_interfaces`. Nothing was removed or renamed.** Installs on 0.17.2 get this release through the self-update: it is named on every response, `cad_configure {update:"now"}` installs it, and `{autoUpdate:"auto"}` installs it by itself. Restart Claude to finish.

* **`cad_configurator`** checks and builds products from a product-family file. `validate` names every rule a configuration breaks, `enumerate` lists the valid configurations, `nearestFix` gives the smallest change that makes an invalid one valid, and `build` places the modules at their interface frames, builds and names the parts, returns the bill of materials, and can export one named STEP with an interference report (CADSF-100339, CADSF-100358).
* **`cad_interfaces`** finds how a part connects to others: hole patterns with pitch, diameter and thread, pin headers, threaded bores (CS-mount, C-mount, tripod), named ports and mounting faces, each with a coordinate frame (CADSF-100340).
* **The Cowork `.plugin` ships a `drawing-to-step` skill**: PDF or DXF drawing to STEP, `x_t` and a dimension table, with a batch read-out for a folder of drawings and a fallback for scanned PDFs (CADSF-100341, CADSF-100357).
* **Cleaner exports.** The STEP header carries no author or organisation unless you set one; STEP assemblies carry AP242 assembly validation properties by default; the `x_t` writer no longer splits a token across lines (CADSF-100342, CADSF-100359).
