# NativeCAD 0.27.0 "Hannigan" — scan to simulation, PLY import, crease repair, QIF export, rotating zones in the wind tunnel

**187 tools (185 in 0.26.0): `cad_scan_to_sim` and `cad_crease_repair` are new. The command schema moves 1.68.0 → 1.71.0, and every 1.68.0 document validates unchanged.** Installs on 0.17.2 and later pick this release up through the self-update.

* **`cad_scan_to_sim`: a room scan in, a model a robot can use in a simulator out.**
  * **Input:** a `.ply` point cloud or mesh from a LiDAR or photogrammetry tool.
  * **Reconstruction:** the scan is levelled and squared to its walls, and the room is reconstructed into parametric families. The first set is a commercial restroom: stall partitions, pilasters and doors, toilets, grab bars, tissue rolls, vanity and basins, dispensers, waste bins and ceiling lights.
  * **Output:** written at five levels of detail as MJCF (MuJoCo), URDF, `assembly.json` and a kernel-built STEP. The levels run from the room shell to working hinges, latches, seats, flush levers and tearable paper, then fasteners.
  * **Assumptions:** the room is closed with stated assumptions. An entrance door is placed and sized by the 2010 ADA Standards, with a closer at ≤ 5 lbf that takes ≥ 5 s to close.
  * **ADA check:** the result carries a check of the room, pass or miss with the measured value.
  * **Simulator check:** `sim:true` exercises every model in MuJoCo and PyBullet.
* **`cad_import` reads `.ply` meshes**, and a PLY point cloud is pointed at `cad_scan_to_sim`.
* **`cad_crease_repair`** smooths or splits the interior G1 creases of B-spline faces. Parasolid-based CAD (Onshape, SolidWorks, NX) would otherwise cut such a face into thousands of pieces. STEP export now warns about them and refuses them under `strict`.
* **`cad_export_body` `format:"qif"`** writes a QIF 3.0 inspection plan from the document's PMI.
* **`cad_wind_tunnel`** takes rotating zones (overset grids) and transient runs, with per-rotor thrust, torque, power and FM. The LBM core runs past 8 GB with 16-bit population storage.
* **Faster Parasolid X_T tessellation**: a threaded thumb screw takes 8 s instead of 72 s, and the 151-file corpus takes 129 s instead of 250 s.
* **Also:** boolean and loft fixes, `checkFull` edge-off-face and interior-G1 warnings, and the `tools/list` budget raised to 401 KiB for the two new tools.
