IFC server roadmap and limits

What is planned and when, and the gap list: what NativeBIM cannot do yet. A row leaves the gap list only when its test passes.

Roadmap

Planned. The months are targets, reviewed on ; this list changes when the plan does.

  1. Oct 2026

    Started

IFC reader and writer, geometry, test-fit engines, document writers, licensing and updates: built and tested.

  2. Oct 2026

    Beta

Signed beta builds: a Claude Desktop bundle, a Cowork plugin and an npm package. Version 0.2.0 opens, asks, checks, repairs, edits, draws and exports IFC models from the assistant.

  3. Nov 2026

    Generate and hand over

Test fit and generate from the assistant, so one session can open, ask, change, generate, document and hand over.

  4. Dec 2026

    Public release

The MCP plugin, the product pages and pricing.

  5. 2027

    Depth

Detailed authoring (curtain walls, stairs, MEP and structure), sections and elevations, the full Revit path through IFC export, owner handover with IDS, BCF and COBie, and large models.
