IFC showcase: Owner IDS drives the model
An owner IDS for fire ratings, classification and COBie asset data drives a generated building. It is checked, its gaps are listed, and a public model is checked too.
This model is illustrative. It is built from a script with the dimensions listed under Sources, and it does not represent an existing or as-built building.

The viewer opens ids-in-model-out.glb, the glTF that NativeBIM writes from the IFC file. The IFC file is ids-in-model-out.ifc.

Requirements
The model does not yet meet every requirement of a building. Each is measured on the model’s geometry by casting rays at it from sample points 1.344 m apart.

IDS in, model out
The design-stage IDS has 6 specifications. The generator built the building to it and wrote 3465 values from the brief; the written IFC passes 3358 of 3358 checks, with 0 gaps. The handover IDS asks for data nobody has at generation time, so the generator wrote none of it and lists 1924 gaps. The same design-stage IDS run on the public model passes 3 of 20 checks.

Values come from the IDS itself (a single fixed value) or from the brief, and a brief value must satisfy the IDS facet. Nothing is guessed: a requirement with no value becomes a gap.
The public model fails 17 checks: 15 checks on 9 objects, and 2 required specifications that apply to nothing because the model has no doors or windows. All 17 are topics in public-model-failures.bcf. A model that does not say what the IDS asks for fails it; that says nothing about the quality of the model, which was made as a sample scene.
The brief values (fire ratings, classification codes, asset type) are chosen for this sample and are not a code analysis.

Built 2026-10-27 with node tools/showcase/build.js ids-in-model-out. Re-running the command gives the same bytes.
