Tangent booleans: the classic hard cases
Two solids whose surfaces touch instead of cross: a rod lying on a plate, a ball on a table, two pipes of the same size crossing, a part rounded into its neighbour. Each pair below goes through union, subtract and intersect. Every body you see is a closed solid with exact faces, checked against its volume worked out by hand. Where the answer is a named touch or an empty result, "View inputs" shows the two solids and where they touch.

All demos →Less geometry at the same tolerance
Small holes, fillets and bosses removed and the solid healed watertight, ready for scenes and simulation.
NURBS opsCurved offsets, shells and surfaces from points
Offsets and shells on curved solids, exact surfaces through point grids, and a mesh turned back into a solid.
6 curved operations ToleranceDeclare the gap, name the weld
A seam that will not close at the model's tolerance welds shut once the edge carrying the gap declares it.
V12 engineA V12 engine you can run, slice and take apart
Every crank, rod, cam and valve is a real solid, turning in your browser from one dial: the crank angle.
