Native SolidWorks, NX, Creo, Inventor, JT and Rhino files open when they carry a body the reader decodes; when one does not, the modeler says which part of the file it could not read rather than guessing. Every switch on every format is on the interoperability reference.
What is NativeCAD?
NativeCAD is a solid-modelling kernel and a parametric modeler built on it. The viewer you get on this page is the same modeler, running the same kernel, that our desktop app and AI tools use.
A real CAD kernel
Every body is a boundary-representation solid with addressable faces and edges, not a triangle soup. Fillets, shells, booleans, sketches and a feature tree, with mass properties and STEP AP242 out the other end that other CAD systems open.
Built for AI agents
NativeCAD ships as an MCP server, so Claude and other agents can model parts one operation at a time, check each result, and hand you a STEP file. When the kernel refuses an operation it says why, by name.
Runs where you are
In the browser with nothing installed, in Claude Desktop as a one-click extension, or inside your own product as the Kernel SDK. The same kernel in every place, so a part behaves the same everywhere.
